A 48-unit residential complex in Randburg needed to transition from bulk billed electricity to individual prepaid metering. The body corporate wanted to eliminate the administrative burden of monthly reconciliations and give residents control over their own electricity usage.
We installed 48 individual prepaid meters with bulk supply meters for common areas. Each unit received a dedicated meter box with secure cabling routed through existing service ducts. The system was configured for remote management and real-time monitoring.
The complex now enjoys accurate per-unit billing with residents purchasing electricity directly. The body corporate has eliminated monthly reconciliation headaches and reduced financial risk from non-payment. The entire installation was completed in two weeks with minimal disruption.
